Gosaikunda is a lake in Nepal in Rasuwa district that is the site of regular Hindu pilgrimage. It is situated at the height of 4,380 metres from sea level, and melts and sips down to form the Trishuli river. It is on the way of a popular trekking route of Dhunche-Gosainkunda-Helambu trail. In fact there are 108 total lakes, small to medium in this area and also the challenging Lauribina La pass 4,610 meters on its outskirts.
Nagarkot
Nagarkot, located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, Nepal an elevation of 2,195 meters, is one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur district of Nepal. It is renowned for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalaya including Mount Everest as well as other snow-topped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal. Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley.
Pokhara
Pokhara is a city of close to 200,000 inhabitants in central Nepal located at 28.24 N, 83.99 E,, 198 km west of Kathmandu. It is the Headquarter of Kaski District, Gandaki Zone and the Western Development Region. It is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal.
Ilam
Ilam district,a part of Mechi zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Ilam as its district headquarters, covers an area of 1,703 km² and has a population (2001) of 282,806. It is situated at a distance of about 600 km from Kathmandu. The highest point is Sandakpur with lies on an elevation of 3000m. Ilam also attracts many researchers who come here to research on rare birds and the Red Panda. Ilam stretches from Terai belt to the upper hilly belt of this Himalayan nation.
Royal Chitwan National Park
At the foot of the Himalayas, Chitwan is one of the few undisturbed areas of the Terai region which formerly extended over the foothills of India and Nepal, with its very rich flora and fauna. One of the last populations of single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros lives in the park, which is also among the last refuges for the Bengal tiger. Tourists usually do the elephant trek to see the rhinoceros living in the park and do guided walks into the park.
